Good Thermal Conductivity Stainless Steel Nickel-Chromium-Iron Alloy Plate

Inconel 690 alloy is a new-generation heat transfer tube material for steam generators in pressurized water reactors. This nickel-based alloy contains 27.0-31.0% chromium and approximately 59% nickel. The nickel-based alloy has excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion and intergranular stress corrosion cracking.

Application fields
It is mainly used as the heat transfer tube material for steam generators in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants. The materials for heat transfer tubes of steam generators in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants have gone through a development process, including 304 austenitic stainless steel, Alloy 600, Alloy 800, and Inconel 690 alloy. Research on the corrosion failure of Alloy 600 during its service shows that intergranular corrosion and intergranular stress corrosion cracking are the main problems. Since Inconel 690 alloy was put into use as the heat transfer tube material for steam generators in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants in the 1990s, there has been no report of any damage found. Inconel 690 (UNS N06690) nickel-based alloy is mainly used as the heat transfer tube material for steam generators in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants, and it is the core technology of steam generators.
