Manufacturing and Processing

Typically, the material is heated to 980-1020°C for 1-1.5 hours, then raised to 1080-1120°C or 1100-1160°C for 15-16 hours, followed by air cooling.
• Forging and Forming: The alloy can be forged, hot-rolled, and hot-extruded. Forging requires precise temperature control to maintain the material's toughness and strength.
• Cold Working: C-276 can be cold-worked, but its work-hardening characteristics mean that multiple annealing steps may be necessary to restore the material's properties during processing.
