Hastelloy B2
Hastelloy B3 steel plate is a high - performance nickel - based alloy product. Containing about 65% nickel, along with elements like molybdenum and cobalt, it's an upgraded version of Hastelloy B2, boasting enhanced thermal stability and corrosion resistance.
In terms of properties, it excels in resisting corrosion from various non - oxidizing media, such as hydrochloric acid at any temperature and concentration, as well as sulfuric, acetic, and phosphoric acids. It also has high resistance to pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and knife - edge corrosion. Moreover, it shows good mechanical properties, with its tensile and yield strengths changing with temperature and cold - state deformation rate.
During processing, it has a relatively high elongation, which is beneficial for cold - pressing forming. However, it's harder than austenitic stainless steel and has a more obvious work - hardening tendency. Welding preferably uses tungsten inert gas arc welding to protect the weld from oxidation.
Due to its excellent performance, Hastelloy B3 steel plate is widely used in the chemical industry for reactors and pipelines, the petrochemical industry for transporting corrosive media, and other fields where high - corrosion - resistance materials are required.
