It has excellent oxidation resistance at high temperatures and good resistance to carburization. It can effectively resist the sulfur-containing atmosphere in terms of oxidation. It has good mechanical properties both at room temperature and high temperatures, as well as excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking. Due to the control of carbon content and grain size, Inconel 601 has a relatively high creep rupture strength. Therefore, Inconel 601 is recommended for use in fields above 500°C.
