Hastelloy C22 is an all-purpose nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy, which has better overall corrosion resistance than other existing nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys, including Hastelloy C276, C4 alloy, and Alloy 625. Hastelloy C22 alloy has excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. It has outstanding resistance to aqueous media in oxidative environments, including wet chlorine or mixed acids of oxidizing acids containing chloride ions. At the same time, Hastelloy C22 alloy also has an ideal ability to resist both reducing and oxidizing environments encountered during the process. Thanks to this versatile performance, it can be used in some challenging environments or in factories with multiple production purposes. Hastelloy C22 alloy has an exceptional ability to resist various chemical environments, including strong oxidizing substances, such as ferric chloride, cupric chloride, chlorine, thermally contaminated solutions (both organic and inorganic), formic acid, acetic acid, acetic anhydride, seawater, and salt solutions, etc. Hastelloy C22 alloy has the ability to resist the formation of grain boundary precipitation in the heat-affected zone during welding, enabling it to be suitable for a wide range of chemical process applications even in the welded state. Crystal structure: Face-centered cubic lattice structure. Application fields: Hastelloy C22 alloy has been widely used in the chemical and petrochemical fields, such as in components and catalytic systems that come into contact with organic compounds containing chlorides. This material is particularly suitable for use in high-temperature environments, inorganic and organic acids (such as formic acid and acetic acid) mixed with impurities, and seawater corrosion environments. Other application fields include: acetic acid/acetic anhydride, acid leaching, cellophane manufacturing, chlorination systems, complex mixed acids, rollers of electro-galvanizing baths, expansion bellows, flue gas scrubber systems, geothermal wells, acid furnace scrubbers, incineration scrubber systems, nuclear fuel reprocessing, pesticide production, phosphoric acid production, pickling systems, plate heat exchangers, selective filtration systems, sulfur dioxide cooling towers, sulfonation systems, tube heat exchangers, surfacing welded valves, etc.
